Only Construction Company to Receive this Honor <\/em><\/p>\n

(Denver, Colo.) \u2013\u00a0June 28, 2018\u202f\u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Saunders Construction, Inc.\u00a0is proud to announce that it has been named to the \u201cBest for Colorado\u201d list of companies, which honors companies that strive to be the best for Colorado\u2019s workers, communities and the environment . \u200bOf the 16 Colorado companies to receive this honor, Saunders is the only company in the construction manager\/general contractor industry to be recognized. The 2018 honorees were announced, along with the Best for the World B Corporations, at the Best for Colorado Award Gala on Thursday, June 7.<\/p>\n

More than 300 companies participated in the Best for Colorado program by completing an online challenge assessment and took a pledge to continue their journey of impact measurement, management and improvement. Sixteen of those companies have been awarded honoree status, which recognizes their high scores on the B Impact Assessment, based on performance by impact area in three categories; environment, community and workers.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is an honor and testament to our mission to be named a Best of Colorado honoree,\u201d said Greg Schmidt, Saunders\u2019 president and chief executive officer. \u201cSaunders believes in improving the lives of both the people we employ and those we build for and a large part of that being a good steward of the environment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Saunders employs a variety of unique approaches to set itself apart including donating 10 percent of net profits to charitable organizations, requiring construction waste recycling on all projects, measuring carbon emissions, and promoting health and wellness of employees through company-sponsored fitness events.<\/p>\n
